VC Academy has launched India’s first VC Open House, a shift from rigid classroom training to and open experience-driven dialogues for hair and makeup professionals. Held on January 5, 2026, in Mumbai, the inaugural edition drew top industry names and set a new benchmark for collaborative education.
Headlined by Adhuna Bhabani—pioneer of Indian hairdressing—the event featured candid reflections on her 30-year journey, inspiring curiosity and lifelong learning among attendees. “This felt truly meaningful and intimate,” Adhuna shared. “Everyone in the industry should experience the VC Open House.”
The session attracted luminaries like Aalim Hakim, Avan Contractor, Shine Janardhan, Sumit Malkotia (Ikonic), and Nitin Manchanda (Wella Professionals). Aalim Hakim called it “enlightening and motivating,” praising Adhuna’s path from humble beginnings to global brand status. Avan Contractor highlighted the format’s honest conversations and creative sparks.
Curated by VC Academy founder Vipul Chudasama, the VC Open House prioritizes community over lectures, giving a push to authentic connections for salon owners, stylists, and educators. “This marks the beginning of a movement,” Vipul stated, emphasizing continuous growth in the salon industry.
This initiative signals a fresh era of accessible, peer-led learning that could reshape training models across India’s competitive hair sector. Future editions promise more icons and deeper insights. Following the success of its first edition, VC Academy has announced the next VC Open House scheduled for 6th April 2026, featuring a new artist and a fresh perspective from the evolving world of hairdressing
