Moreover, Kay Beauty launches its first skincare range. Additionally, it includes two hydration products for sensitive skin. Moreover, the development involved teams in Korea and Italy.
Kay Beauty has entered the skincare category with its first skincare collection, expanding beyond its established makeup portfolio. Co-founded by Katrina Kaif and Nykaa, the brand has launched two hydration-focused products designed for skin-barrier support and sensitive skin.
The new range became available on August 29. It is available through the Nykaa app and website, Nykaa retail stores, and Kay Beauty’s official website.
Developed Over Three Years
According to the brand, the skincare range was developed over three years in collaboration with formulation teams in Korea and Italy. The products have been clinically tested on Indian women with sensitive skin.
Both formulations are fragrance-free, non-comedogenic, dermatologically tested and hypoallergenic. The brand stated that the efficacy claims for the products are based on external clinical studies conducted in May 2026.
Katrina Kaif on the Skincare Launch
Katrina Kaif, Co-Founder, Kay Beauty, said her experience with sensitive skin, film-set schedules and frequent travel influenced the development of the range.
The formulations focus on skin-barrier support, hydration and a lightweight texture designed to work alongside makeup. The brand has positioned the products around its existing #MakeupThatKares philosophy, extending the concept from makeup into skincare.
A Move Beyond Makeup
Adwaita Nayar, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Nykaa and CEO, House of Nykaa, said skincare was a natural extension of Kay Beauty as consumers increasingly adopt a skin-first approach to beauty.
The launch gives Kay Beauty a presence in a skincare segment that includes growing interest in hydration, sensitive-skin solutions, barrier-support products and dermatologist-tested formulations.
From Makeup to Skincare
Launched in 2019, Kay Beauty has built its business around makeup through its partnership with Nykaa. The skincare launch marks its first expansion into skincare and adds another category to its beauty portfolio.
For Nykaa, the launch also expands the Kay Beauty offering across the premium beauty and skincare segments, as beauty brands increasingly broaden their portfolios to address changing consumer routines.
